Defining Solutions as Products or Services

Defining Solutions

Each Solution can be defined as either a Product or a Service.

Service Category: benefits are purchased and fulfilled on an ad hoc basis, either hourly, per session or per project.  Examples include HR Consulting, Advising, some disability management services, health coaching, lunch and learns etc. 

Product Category: benefit can be purchased typically on a recurring basis, as in monthly coverage, annual benefits, on a fixed price for a period of time.  Examples include traditional benefits on a monthly premium, ancillary health products charged on a per-member basis etc.

*This separation is important for how our technology understands the differences between each solution and potential "solution-match" opportunities in various parts of the platform.

Change a Product to a Solution:

1) Next to the Product box, click the CLEAR button to pop up the Services box (refresh page if needed)
2) Begin to type in the service name, and choose the best suited name from the Dropdown menu (must be chosen from the menu)
3) Scroll down and click SAVE SOLUTION

Keyword Tags

If you are looking to add other keywords to your Solution beyond a single product or service category, consider writing a more keyword rich description or contacting Support to purchase available Keyword Tags.
